Ringo Starr's Chess Set
In 1973 Asprey, with designer Robin Crookshank, created a bespoke chess set for The Beatles' drummer Ringo Starr. Every piece was modelled on Ringo's hands.
The intriguing Boxer exudes effortless cool. Soft yet strong, in seriously deep blue berry tones. Relaxed lines and a velvety texture with a hint of grain harmonise perfectly with the distinctive claw and window clasp and unconventional shoulder strap.
The Boxer in bilberry nubuck bullskin combines heritage style with modern simplicity. The hint of grain adds discreet texture to the velvety touch of the nubuck bullskin. The folding top line of the Boxer allows a glimpse of the contrast kid suede interior and closes with a signature claw and window clasp. Two padded handcrafted handles and shoulder strap add to the easy functionality of this covetable bag.
The Boxers clean construction features a softly padded base and is fully lined with kid suede. There is a zip pocket and a slip pocket inside, and comes with a customised kid suede cushion. Polished palladium finish hardware.
Asprey uses European hides to create the bullskin, traditionally tanned and drum-dyed to create a leather that is supple and resistant. The colours are rich, transparent and deep and the finishing reveals the true beauty of the natural grain. Maintain the beauty of your Asprey bullskin handbag to ensure it endures though time. Avoid direct contact with heat, water, light & oil, as well as any situation that is either too humid or dry. Wipe away any moisture as soon as possible. When not in use, replace the custom-made kid suede cushion provided inside the handbag to hold its shape, and store your bullskin & nubuck handbag in the dust bag provided and in a clean, dry, temperate atmosphere. Commercial care products are not kind to Asprey bullskin handbags. A soft dry cloth is sufficient to maintain the beauty of the leather. The nubuck can be cleaned with a suede & nubuck cleaning block. Should there be a problem, we recommend you contact us for some expert TLC, using the Asprey after-sales service.
