Ships decanters came into existence towards the end of the eighteenth century as a means of ensuring stability, with its wide, flat base, during rough seas. They are sometimes known as a “Rodney” after a well know British Admiral, George Bridges Rodney.
This classic ships decanter is made of 30% lead crystal & hallmarked sterling silver. Ideal for engraving on the silver collar, this stylish decanter makes a perfect gift for any occasion. The 3 embossed decorative ridges on the collar match with the other decanters in the Connoisseur range. With a capacity of 75ml the decanter is suitable for containing either wine or spirits and is an elegant and decorative piece to display in the home.
