The Silvia Furmanovich box collection is constructed from native sustainable Brazilian wood decorated with intricate hand cut marquetry. The Asprey workshops have handcrafted sterling silver hinged mounts to join the lid and base together. The inside of each box is made of smooth polished wood, ensuring a multitude of uses, from jewellery, to precious memorabilia, photographs or family papers. Giant Waterlily – Victoria Amazonica is the largest of the Nymphaeaceae family of water lilies, with leaves measuring up to 3 metres (10 feet) in diameter.
The marquetry details are created using a lengthy process of assembling hand-cut wood veneers. A proprietary system of washing and soaking the wood in water and minerals enhances its existing colour naturally, allowing for a variety of hues.
