The 1781 Pochette Handbag from our Signature A collection is a refined expression of Asprey heritage and craftsmanship. Crafted from soft, supple burgundy leather, this elegant piece blends modern sophistication with historic design cues.
The 1781 collection commemorates the founding of Asprey in that year, with styling inspired by early travel bags. Endlessly versatile, the pochette can be worn with the belt strap elegantly closed for a polished look or left open for a more relaxed, informal style. Carry it by hand or wear it crossbody using the detachable shoulder strap.
A standout feature of this design is Asprey’s Signature A leather pattern, created in collaboration with a specialist Japanese atelier. Created using the revered Inden technique, a Japanese craftsmanship tradition refined over more than 400 years since its founding in 1582, this exceptional leather was originally used in the decorative elements of Japanese samurai armour. It is valued for its unique softness, lightness, flexibility, and strength.
