Zelouf & Bell’s Beverly Hills Entertainment Trolley for Asprey London pays tribute to the legendary Beverly Hills Hotel, the ‘Pink Palace’ at the top of Rodeo Drive and Sunset Boulevard, long a haven for Hollywood’s elite. Issued in a limited edition of just six, the trolley’s design captures the spirit of the Art Deco-era luxury liner SS Normandie and San Juan’s Normandie Hotel.

The trolley's structure features lush marquetry in multiple shades of green, evoking the hotel’s iconic banana leaf pattern. Green-dyed timbers are inlaid with precision into a pink mother-of-pearl background, a labour-intensive process that highlights the artisanal skill involved. Custom, mirror-finished stainless steel rails encircle the trolley's graceful curves, doubling as handles. Mounted on concealed castors, the trolley glides effortlessly, and pull-out shelves in pink mother-of-pearl and emerald Paua shell reflect the vibrant stripes of the hotel’s iconic canopy, seen in vintage photographs of its lobby. Finishing details include sculpted bamboo-green pulls with concealed stingray inlay, offering both texture and surprise.

Product Care
Care & Cleaning
Please dust with a soft, lint-free cloth. Fingerprints or residues may be removed by wiping the product with a damp cloth. For stickier marks, a diluted solution of washing up liquid may be used, followed by buffing with a lint dry cloth. Never use washing up liquid directly from the bottle. Do not use silicone, oil or wax polishes on any marquetry products ; using any of these will cause a sticky build-up.
Liquid spills should be mopped up as soon as possible, and red wine should be mopped up immediately, as the tannins in red wine will penetrate even a lacquer finish. Please use placemats and coasters to protect surfaces and avoid contact with any hot or rough surfaced items that could scratch the surface.
Reaction to light
All timber reacts to light, and must be protected from direct sunlight by the use of blinds and curtains when exposed to full sun. Please rotate placement of objects on cherry surfaces; even moving pieces slightly will avoid shadows developing. If this happens, remove the object and the light should eventually even out the surface colour.
Temperature & Humidity
Solid wood and timber veneers will react to changes in temperature and humidity and doors and drawers may also move as the pieces ‘settle’. Changes in temperature and humidity will cause the wood to swell and contract. In air conditioned and/or centrally heated environments, we recommend that the relative humidity should be set at 50%, the temperature at 18-19 degrees centigrade. Humidifiers and dehumidifiers may be used to regulate extreme heat fluctuations.
