Product Description

2022 marks the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Events will take place throughout the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, and around the world to celebrate Her Majesty's historic 70-year reign this summer. In celebration, Asprey has created a limited edition of 20 decanters. Inspired by HM the Queen's love and knowledge of horses, each decanter depicts 5 of the British horse breeds that HM the Queen owns and keeps at her Royal residences.

The front of the decanter features:

Cleveland Bay & foal - a much depleted English breed that HM the Queen championed in the 1960's when numbers were dwindling. They are kept at the Royal Mews and traditionally used to pull carriages and state coaches.

Thoroughbred Racehorse - horse racing is one of HM the Queen's great loves and she breeds and races thoroughbred horses from her Sandringham Estate.

The back of the decanter features:

Fell pony - kept at Windsor Castle, bred at Hampton Court, it is the only breed she currently still rides.

Windsor Grey - these are kept at the Royal Mews and used to pull carriages and state coaches.

Highland pony - bred and kept at the Balmoral estate.

Each engraved decanter is signed by one of Moser’s most talented Master Engravers, Radek Svoboda, who has worked in the glassworks for 15 years. Radek Svoboda is admired for his wonderful figurative, floral and ornamental engravings that reflect his eye for detail and love of ancient art and classical paintings.

Extra glasses may also be purchased separately.
