Product Description

Sterling silver and enamel pop art teddy bear money bank.

Asprey, renowned for its expertise in silversmithing, offers a vast array of truly unique silver pieces that are outstanding in both design and craftsmanship. The Pop Art Teddy Bear Bank is a magnificent example of an original design with attention to detail and technical superiority. This exceptional sterling silver and enamel piece was designed by the Asprey in house team and has been modelled by sculptor Julian Cross.

The bear is decorated all over with multicolour enamel flowers in blue, red, purple, green, pink and yellow, with a slot for money at the back of the head and a removeable base plate featuring the edition number and hallmarks. Even the screw heads for the removeable plate are beautifully modelled silver flower heads. Taking approximately 6 months to complete, the elaborate money bank is made by an electroforming technique, a process that plates pure silver onto a moulded teddy bear form. This model is only the second one to be made with this colour series of enamelled flowers.
