The Koi Pond & Rain Nesting Tables are designed as a limited edition set that brings together artistry and functional versatility. The set of four tables is crafted from black bolivar, sapphire ripple sycamore and a selection of pressure-dyed timbers, enriched with intricate mother-of-pearl inlay.
The tabletops feature vivid marquetry inspired by the Japanese tradition of furoshiki, with koi pond scenes contrasted by a poetic rain motif. The koi pond marquetry tabletops are finished in a hand rubbed high gloss lacquer, while the rain motif, with ascending and descending droplets, are coated with a soft matte lacquer, creating a considered interplay of texture and light.
