Product Description

Crafted exclusively for Asprey London, the Kiku Variation Tray is made from figured mahogany with lacquer motifs inspired by vintage Kimono fabric. This limited edition of 6 trays features patinated brass handles. The design offers an antidote to dark days and draws inspiration from pop artists Takashi Murakami and Warhol, both of whom explored the chrysanthemum (kiku) as a subject.

Each tray is presented in a unique fabric sleeve, reflecting the Japanese tradition of Furoshiki. Hand-rubbed gloss lacquer finish enhances its beauty. Crafted by Zelouf & Bell's master craftsmen in rural Ireland, these trays embody a fusion of artistry and artisanship, perfect for adding sophistication to any space.

Product Care
Care & Cleaning
Please dust with a soft, lint-free cloth. Fingerprints or residues may be removed by wiping the product with a damp cloth. For stickier marks, a diluted solution of washing up liquid may be used, followed by buffing with a lint dry cloth. Never use washing up liquid directly from the bottle. Do not use silicone, oil or wax polishes on any marquetry products ; using any of these will cause a sticky build-up.
Liquid spills should be mopped up as soon as possible, and red wine should be mopped up immediately, as the tannins in red wine will penetrate even a lacquer finish. Please use placemats and coasters to protect surfaces and avoid contact with any hot or rough surfaced items that could scratch the surface.
Reaction to light
All timber reacts to light, and must be protected from direct sunlight by the use of blinds and curtains when exposed to full sun. Please rotate placement of objects on cherry surfaces; even moving pieces slightly will avoid shadows developing. If this happens, remove the object and the light should eventually even out the surface color.
Temperature & Humidity
Solid wood and timber veneers will react to changes in temperature and humidity and doors and drawers may also move as the pieces -settle'. Changes in temperature and humidity will cause the wood to swell and contract. In air conditioned and/or centrally heated environments, we recommend that the relative humidity should be set at 50%, the temperature at 18-19 degrees centigrade. Humidifiers and dehumidifiers may be used to regulate extreme heat fluctuations.
