Product Description

This exquisite vase, made from lead-free studio glass, is a testament to the meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship that defines Asprey.

Part of the Four Seasons Collection, this vase embodies the vibrant essence in the English winter countryside with its dark and smoky hues, symbolizing the shorter days and darker evenings, invoking the feeling of withdrawing for the winter months. Each vase features the bare skeletal outline of the ash, oak and silver birch trees against a stark winter evening. The trees are full of ravens, starlings, sparrows, blackbirds and robins – some of the most recognisable of British birds.

Made with intrinsic cameo carving methods, these vases are the epitome of artistic fusion. Through a meticulous process involving fine diamond drill engraving and contemporary carving techniques, the vases are hand-carved with exquisite detail and relief on the interior.

Mouth blown and built up in layers of rich transparent glass colours, the vase boasts multiple strata of pure colour, creating a blank canvas for the carving work. The interior surface is then intricately carved through the coloured layers, resulting in a captivating cameo relief effect. Each piece in the collection is truly one-of-a-kind, taking an impressive 35 to 40 hours to produce.

With its exclusivity to Asprey and its embodiment of timeless British craftsmanship, this vase stands as a testament to refined elegance and artistic excellence.
